Localization initiative for Rwandans seeking digital security tips

The Safe Sister program grants-phase encourages fellows to dig deep and create original project ideas that have a real chance at impacting society in a meaningful way. A Safe Sister Fellow 2017-2018 from Kigali proposed a localization project, the outcome, a digital safety video translated into her native tongue, Kinyarwanda.

This is what she had to say…

“I used animation because most of the people we interview were refusing to appear in the video, so I considered their interviews to combine content with all the information that I thought would help them.

We narrated in Kinyarwanda because the target was individuals in Rwanda, and each Rwandan speaks Kinyarwanda. For further assistance or advice on health and digital safety, please visit www.kosmotive.rw ”
