On May 1st 2025, the Safe Sisters Community hosted a vibrant side event at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICC) in Lusaka, Zambia. This gathering was a unique opportunity for fellows to network, share their work, and discuss critical issues surrounding digital safety and activist protection.
The event kicked off with an engaging networking session, allowing participants to connect and learn about each other’s initiatives. This was a valuable moment for building relationships and fostering collaboration among women human rights defenders, journalists, and activists.

Following the networking session, the focus shifted to account safety. The fellows explored advanced tools and strategies designed to enhance digital security for activists. These discussions were crucial in equipping participants with the knowledge and resources needed to protect their online presence and continue their advocacy work safely.
