Safe Sister Fellows at DRIF Conference forging a path for digital inclusion

The Safe Sister Community Fellows recently made a significant impact at the Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum (DRIF) held in Lusaka, Zambia April 29th to 1st May 2025. This event, organized by Paradigm Initiative, brought together over 1,000 participants from 66 countries, including human rights, technology, and policy leaders.

The Safe Sister Fellows hosted 2 insightful sessions focused on digital inclusion for persons living with disabilities. These sessions highlighted the urgent need for equal access to ICT tools and the internet, ensuring that persons living with disabilities can fully participate in the digital age.

During the conference, the fellows shared best practices and strategies to bridge the digital divide, emphasizing the importance of digital equity and creating a more inclusive digital environment, where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can access information and opportunities online

The Safe Sisters program continues to build the capacity of women around the globe, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to tackle digital safety challenges and advocate for digital rights.
